Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car within the Driftless Area, navigate towards Waterville, IA. From the center of Waterville, head southwest on Main St toward Old Sixteen Rd. Continue for about 1 mile, then turn right onto Old Sixteen Rd. Scenic View Campground will be located on your left at 420 Old Sixteen Rd. Look for signs indicating the campground as you approach.

• Public Transportation

  If using public transportation, first check for a bus service that operates in the Driftless Area. You may need to take a bus to a nearby town, like Decorah or Lansing, as direct routes to Waterville may not be available. From Decorah, you can use a taxi service to get to Scenic View Campground. The taxi ride from Decorah to Waterville will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around $40-50 depending on the service. Make sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, consider biking from nearby towns. If you're in Decorah, you can cycle along the scenic roads through the Driftless Area.   If you're already near Waterville and prefer to walk, you can reach Scenic View Campground by taking a pleasant stroll. From the center of Waterville, walk southwest on Main St. After about a mile, turn right onto Old Sixteen Rd, and continue until you reach the campground at 420 Old Sixteen Rd. This walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Make sure to stay on the designated walking paths and be aware of any traffic.
