Walking
From the center of Newton, head northeast on 1st Ave N towards E 2nd St N. Turn left onto E 2nd St N and continue walking until you reach the intersection with N 4th Ave E. Turn right onto N 4th Ave E and continue straight until you reach the intersection with E 4th St N. There, you will find the Newton Public Library. From the library, take a left onto E 4th St N and then a right onto N 2nd Ave E. Follow this street as it curves into E 1st St N. Continue until you reach the Newton Depot, which is your next landmark. From the Depot, head south towards the intersection with E 1st St S and turn left onto it. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with N 2nd Ave S, then turn right. After a short walk, you will arrive at the Newton City Park. From the park, continue south until you see the signs for the local bus stop that will take you to Salem, MA.
