Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Newton Public Library located at 100 N 3rd Ave W, head east on N 3rd Ave W toward E 1st St. After about two blocks, take a left onto E 1st St and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass through downtown Newton where you can enjoy local shops and cafes. Continue straight onto E 1st St until you reach the intersection with N 11th Ave E. Turn right onto N 11th Ave E and walk for about 0.3 miles. Parkman Bandstand will be on your left at 139 Tremont St.

  If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Newton City Hall located at 101 W 4th St N. Head east on W 4th St toward N 1st Ave E, then take a left onto N 1st Ave E. After about 0.2 miles, turn right onto E 1st St. Follow E 1st St for about 0.5 miles until you reach N 11th Ave E. Turn right onto N 11th Ave E and continue for approximately 0.3 miles. You will find Parkman Bandstand on your left at 139 Tremont St.

  From your location, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 2nd Ave and E 1st St. Take the bus route 1 towards the Newton Transit Center. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop at 5th Ave and E 1st St. From there, walk 0.3 miles southeast on E 1st St towards N 11th Ave E. Turn left onto N 11th Ave E, and Parkman Bandstand will be on your left at 139 Tremont St.
