Walking
If you are starting at Boston Common, exit the park at the Tremont Street entrance. Head east on Tremont Street until you reach the intersection with Park Street. Turn left onto Park Street and walk until you reach the entrance to the Public Garden on your right. Once inside the Public Garden, follow the path straight ahead until you spot the George Washington Statue, which is located near the center of the garden.

If you are near the Park Street subway station, take the Green Line 'C' or 'D' train toward Government Center. Get off at the Arlington station. Exit the station and head south on Arlington Street toward Boylston Street. Turn left onto Boylston Street, then turn right into the Public Garden.
