Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown Waterloo, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Metro Transit bus route 1 towards the Cedar Valley SportsPlex. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at W Park Ave & 3rd St. After getting off the bus, walk west on W Park Ave for about 5 minutes. Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area will be on your left at 305 W Park Ave.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Start at the Waterloo Public Library and head west on W 4th St. Continue straight for approximately 1 mile. Take a left onto W Park Ave and bike for another half-mile. Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area will be on your right at 305 W Park Ave.

Start at the Waterloo Convention Center and head west on W 4th St. Continue on W 4th St for about 0.8 miles until you reach W Park Ave. Turn left on W Park Ave and walk for about 0.4 miles.
