    From the Waterloo Public Library at 415 Commercial St, head west on Commercial St for 0.5 miles until you reach W 4th St. Turn left onto W 4th St, walk for 0.2 miles, then turn right onto W Park Ave. Continue for 0.3 miles; the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area is on your left at 305 W Park Ave. Walking is free.

    From a bus stop, take the #3 bus towards downtown. After about five stops, get off at the intersection of W 4th St and W Park Ave. Walk east on W Park Ave for about 0.2 miles; the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area is on your right at 305 W Park Ave. A single ride on MET Transit is $1.25.

  • Driving

    From I-380 N, take exit 220 for US-63 N towards Waterloo. Continue on US-63 N for about 10 miles, then take the exit for W Park Ave. Turn right onto W Park Ave; the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area will be on your left at 305 W Park Ave. Parking is available on site. Downtown Waterloo offers various parking options, with studies focused on enhancing parking functionality. Metered parking costs approximately $0.75 per hour, with time limits typically ranging from 2-3 hours.
