Built in 1902 for Henry Weis, a local businessman who revolutionized egg packaging, the mansion showcases a transitional architectural style blending Queen Anne and Colonial Revival elements. Stepping inside is like stepping back in time, with period furnishings, intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and a grand staircase. The home features at least seven types of old-world wood throughout. Each of the six uniquely decorated suites is named after significant owners of the home. Modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and air conditioning ensure a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a homemade breakfast daily, featuring local ingredients. The B&B is conveniently located near Waterloo's Grout Museum District, including the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum, Grout Museum of History and Science, and the Rensselaer Russell House Museum.
