The garden features a 37-foot-tall Chinese pavilion, the garden's centerpiece, which sits atop an undulating bridge over a pond that cascades into the Des Moines River. Stone pagodas, lanterns, and sculptural rock formations add to the picturesque scene. Visitors can explore the Character Garden, where six granite boulders are inscribed with Chinese characters symbolizing trustworthiness, caring, respect, fairness, citizenship, and responsibility.
