Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Al-Mutanabbi Street, the famous book street in Baghdad, walk south towards the Tigris River. After about 15 minutes, you will reach Al-Jumhuriya Bridge. Cross the bridge and walk straight ahead until you reach Al-Najaf Street. Turn left on Al-Najaf Street, and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see Liberation Square on your right, marked by large green spaces and fountains.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Al-Sadriya area, find a bus heading towards Al-Jadriya. Get off at the 'Al-Jadriya' stop, then transfer to a bus heading to 'Bab Al-Muadham'. Once you get off at Bab Al-Muadham, walk north along the main street for approximately 15 minutes. Liberation Square will be on your left as you approach the Shorjah area.

  • Walking from the Iraqi National Museum

    Starting from the Iraqi National Museum, walk northeast down 14th July Street. Continue straight for about 20 minutes until you reach the intersection with Al-Sadriya Street. Turn right and walk straight for another 10 minutes. Liberation Square will be ahead on your right, easily recognizable by its large open space and public areas.
