Car
From Duhok city center, head northwest following signs for Duhok Dam Lake. The drive is approximately 15 kilometers. Follow the Duhok-Mosul Highway (Route 1) east, then turn onto the road leading to Duhok Dam Lake. Parking is available near the dam. Expect to pay a small parking fee of around 2,000 IQD.

Take a shared taxi ('service') from Duhok city center towards Duhok Dam Lake. These taxis can be found near the main markets or bus stations. The ride takes about 20-30 minutes and costs approximately 1,000-2,000 IQD per person. Alternatively, public buses run from Duhok's main bus station to the vicinity of the dam for around 1,000 IQD. From the bus stop, it's about a 15-minute walk to the lake.
