Public Transport
From Sulaymaniyah city center, take a local minibus heading towards the Azmar Mountain area. Buses labeled for 'جبل أزمر' are available near the main bus station (Sulaimani Bus Station). The fare is approximately 1,000 IQD per person. The journey may take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on stops. Once you arrive at the base of the mountain, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the main trailhead leading up to the viewing area.
Taxi
For a direct route, hire a taxi from anywhere in Sulaymaniyah. Negotiate the fare in advance; it typically costs between 15,000 to 25,000 IQD depending on your starting point and the taxi service. The ride should take about 30 minutes. Taxis can drop you off at the base of Azmar Mountain where you will begin your ascent.
