    Car

    If you are traveling by car from Erbil, head northeast on the Erbil-Duhok road (Route 1). Follow signs for Halgurd Mountain. After about 60 km, turn left towards the Halgurd Mountain area and continue for another 20 km to the parking area near the mountain's base. The drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel.

    From Erbil's main bus station, take a minibus heading towards Duhok. Confirm with the driver that they stop at the Halgurd Mountain area. The fare is around 5,000 IQD (Iraqi Dinar). The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. From the nearest village, hire a local taxi to the parking area at the base of Halgurd Mountain. Negotiate the taxi fare in advance, typically around 10,000 IQD.
