Getting There

• Taxi

  Taxis are the most convenient way to reach the Kurdsat Mosque from anywhere in Sulaymaniyah. They are readily available and can be hailed on the street or booked through hotel services. A typical 5-kilometer taxi ride in Sulaymaniyah costs approximately 4,000 to 5,000 Iraqi dinars (IQD), which is about $3 to $4 USD. Be sure to use official yellow taxis with a 'TAXI' sign on the roof for safety. It's also a good idea to agree on the fare before starting your ride, especially if the taxi doesn't have a meter.

• Public Transport

  While Sulaymaniyah doesn't have an extensive public bus network , local minibuses and shared taxis can be an option. To reach the Kurdsat Mosque, find a minibus or shared taxi heading towards the Kurdsat area and ask the driver to drop you off near the mosque. The fare should be around 1,000 to 2,000 IQD depending on your starting point. Keep in mind that navigating the public transport system may require some assistance from locals.

  If you are already in the vicinity, walking to the Kurdsat Mosque is a viable option. For example, from Sulaymaniyah Grand Park, head southwest on Park Street for about 1 kilometer, then turn right on 45th Street and continue for another 800 meters. The mosque will be on your left.
