Dublal Makh Temple: Echoes of Ancient Justice

The Dublal Makh Temple, also known as معبد دي لال ماخ, is situated in the Dhi Qar Governorate, near the city of Nasiriyah, Iraq. This historical landmark, located in Mahatt Ur, offers a window into the region's ancient past. The temple's history can be traced back to the Sumerian period, with significant remodeling and restoration efforts undertaken by later Babylonian kings such as Nebuchadnezzar and Nabonidus.Originally serving as a hall of justice (E-dublal-makh) during the reign of King Nabonidus around 550 B.C., the temple has undergone numerous transformations throughout its existence.
