Dalal Bridge: Ancient Wonder of Zakho

Dalal Bridge, or Pira Dalal, is an iconic landmark in the city of Zakho, located in the Duhok Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan. This ancient stone bridge spans the Khabur River, connecting the city's banks with its impressive arches. The bridge is approximately 114 meters long, 4.7 meters wide, and 15.5 meters high. The warm-toned limestones used in its construction reflect beautifully in the river, especially during sunrise and sunset.
