The Erbil Citadel, also known as Qalat, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historic tell in the heart of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. Rising 82 to 105 feet (25 to 32 meters) above the surrounding plain, it's believed to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world, with evidence of occupation possibly dating back to the 5th millennium BC.
