Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're already in Keel, you can walk to Moyteoge Head. From the center of the village, head southwest towards the coast. Follow the road signs towards Keel West. The walk is approximately 2 km and will take around 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the stunning coastal views along the way, and be cautious near cliff edges.

  • Car

    If driving, start from Achill Sound and head northwest on the R319 towards Keel. Continue on the R319 until you reach Keel village. Follow signs for Keel West. Moyteoge Head is located along the coast past Keel West. Parking is available along the road before reaching the headland. Parking is free, but can be limited during peak season. Consider parking at Keem Bay and walking to Moyteoge Head.

  • Public Transport

    From Westport or Castlebar, take the Bus Éireann Route 450 to Keel. From Keel, you can walk to Moyteoge Head (approximately 2 km). A single bus fare from Westport to Keel typically costs €8-€13. Check the Bus Éireann website for the most up-to-date schedule and fare information.
