If you are staying in Keel, you can walk to the Valley Loop Walk. Head northwest on the R319 for approximately 4 km until you reach the unnamed road where the walk begins in Tonatanvally. The trailhead is well-marked.
Public Transport
Take a Bus Éireann service from Westport or Achill Sound to Achill Island. From Achill Sound, you can walk or take a taxi to the Valley Loop Walk trailhead. The walk to the trailhead is about 6 km and may take an hour. A taxi typically costs €10-€15.
Car
If driving, head towards Keel on Achill Island. From Keel, take the R319 towards Achill Sound and look for signs to the Valley Loop Walk. The starting point is on an unnamed road in Tonatanvally. Parking is available near the trailhead and is generally free.
