    If you are starting from the Athlone Town Centre, head northwest on Church Street toward the Shannon River. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the Bridge Street bridge. Cross the bridge to the opposite side of the river. Once you are across, take a left onto Castle Street. Continue down Castle Street, and you will find Adamson Castle located at the end of this street, adjacent to the Castle Museum.
