Discover more about Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse isn't just a museum; it's a pilgrimage for beer lovers and a celebration of Irish culture. Situated in the heart of the St. James's Gate Brewery, where Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000-year lease in 1759, the Storehouse tells the story of a brewing empire that has become a global phenomenon. The building itself, a former fermentation plant constructed in 1902, is an architectural marvel designed in the Chicago School style. In 2000, it was transformed into the Guinness Storehouse, replacing the Guinness Hop Store as the brewery's visitor center. Inside, visitors embark on a self-guided tour through seven floors of interactive exhibits. Discover the four ingredients – water, barley, hops, and yeast – that create the distinctive stout. Learn about the roasting process that gives Guinness its unique color and flavor. Explore the history of Guinness advertising, with its iconic campaigns and slogans. The journey culminates at the Gravity Bar on the seventh floor. Here, visitors can enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness while taking in 360-degree views of Dublin. The Gravity Bar was expanded in 2020 to double its capacity. For those who prefer a non-alcoholic option, Guinness 0.0 and soft drinks are also available. For an enhanced experience, visitors can upgrade their ticket to include the Guinness Academy, where they can learn to pour the perfect pint. The Connoisseur Experience offers a guided tasting journey, exploring the flavors and stories of different Guinness variants. The Storehouse also features several restaurants and bars, including the 1837 Bar & Brasserie, Arthur's Bar, Roasthouse, and Market Street, offering a range of dining options from traditional Irish dishes to quick snacks.
