From Heuston Station, a major transport hub, Phoenix Park Bikes is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Exit the station and walk north along St. John's Road. Continue onto Parkgate Street, and you'll find Phoenix Park Bikes located just inside the main entrance to the park. This is a free and straightforward way to reach the bike rental.
Public Transport
Several Dublin Bus routes serve the Phoenix Park area. Routes 25, 26, 37, 38, 39, 70, and 145 all have stops near the Parkgate Street entrance. From Dublin city center, a single adult fare is approximately €2.00 - €2.40 when paying with cash or a Leap Card. The TFI 90-minute fare of €2.00 with a Leap Card allows for transfers between Dublin Bus, Luas, DART, and commuter rail services.
Taxi
A taxi from Dublin city center to Phoenix Park Bikes typically costs between €8 and €15, depending on traffic and the specific location within the city center. Taxi fares are metered, with an initial charge of €4.40 and a rate of €1.32 per kilometer during standard hours. Note that fares may be higher during evenings and weekends. Driving
If driving, enter Phoenix Park via the Parkgate Street entrance. Limited parking is available within the park. Car parks close one hour before dark, except for the Upper Glen Road and Knockmaroon Gate car parks, which are open 24 hours. Parking is free within the Phoenix Park. From the M50, it's suggested to use the on-street parking along the North Road, entering through Ashtown Gate.
