Continue on this road for about 25 kilometers. Then, take the left turn onto the R345 road towards Cong. Follow the R345 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the village of Cong. Once in Cong, look for signs leading to Ashford Castle, which is located on Ashford Castle Drive, just a short distance from the village center.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Galway to Cong. Bus Éireann operates routes from Galway to Cong, and the journey typically takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cong bus stop, it's a short walk to Ashford Castle. Simply head towards the village center, and follow the signs to Ashford Castle Drive. The castle is approximately 1 kilometer from the bus stop, making it an easy walk.

Taxi

If you prefer not to walk from the Cong bus stop, you can take a taxi directly to Ashford Castle. Local taxi services are available at the bus stop or can be booked through your accommodation in Cong. The taxi ride should take about 5 minutes and will cost approximately €10-€15.
