If you are driving, start from the main town of Clifden, which is about 18 km from Roundstone Bog. Take the N59 road heading northwest toward Leenane for approximately 10 km. Then, take a left onto the R341 road toward Roundstone. Follow the R341 for about 8 km until you reach the village of Roundstone. From Roundstone village, continue on the R341 until you see signs for Derrycunlagh. Roundstone Bog is located in Derrycunlagh, and you will find parking available near the bog area.

Public Transportation
To reach Roundstone Bog by public transport, take a bus from Galway City to Clifden. Bus Eireann operates services on this route. Once you arrive in Clifden, you will need to take a local taxi to Roundstone, as public transportation does not go directly to the bog. The taxi ride from Clifden to Roundstone takes about 20 minutes and will cost approximately €20-€30. From Roundstone village, you can walk to the bog, which is a short distance away.

If you are already in Roundstone village, you can walk to Roundstone Bog. From the center of the village, head southwest on the R341 road for about 2 km. The bog will be visible on your left. Please wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for uneven terrain.
