Getting There

Walking
From the center of Westport, head southwest on Bridge Street toward Mill Street. Continue straight to stay on Mill Street, which will merge into the R335. Follow the R335 for approximately 1.5 km. You will pass by Westport House on your left. Keep going until you reach the junction with the R341. Turn left onto the R341 and walk for about 1 km until you arrive at Connemara Greenway. You will see signs directing you to the trail entrance.

Cycling
If you have a bicycle, start from the Westport town center and head west on the R335. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a roundabout. Take the first exit to continue on the R335 toward the coast. After approximately 2 km, you will come to a T-junction. Turn left onto the R341. Continue on this road for about 1 km, and you will find the entrance to Connemara Greenway on your right.

From Westport town center, go to the bus stop located on the Mall. Take the Bus Éireann route towards Clifden. Inform the driver you want to get off at the stop nearest to Connemara Greenway (Cloonbeg). The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you disembark, walk back along the R341 for approximately 500 meters until you reach the entrance to Connemara Greenway.
