From Galway City Centre (Eyre Square), walk southwest along Shop Street and High Street, crossing the Wolfe Tone Bridge. Continue onto Dominick Street Lower and Upper, then turn left onto Grattan Road. Walk along Grattan Road for approximately 10 minutes, passing cafes and shops. Look for signs directing you towards South Park Terrace. As you approach South Park, you will see a sign for Martin Connely Causeway on your left. The walk is approximately 20-25 minutes. No cost.

From Eyre Square, take Bus Éireann routes 401, 402, or 405 towards Salthill. Alight at a stop near South Park (ask the driver for the closest stop). From there, walk along Grattan Road towards South Park Terrace. The entrance to Martin Connely Causeway will be on your left. The bus fare is approximately €2.40 for a single adult fare, but using a Leap Card can reduce the fare by 30%.
