From Bailieborough's bus stop, head southwest on Main Street, continuing onto Cavan Rd (N3). Follow Cavan Rd for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The entrance to Lake View Carpark will be on your right. The walk is along a roadside, so wear comfortable shoes. There are no costs associated with walking.

Public Transport

Take a bus to Bailieborough from major towns in County Cavan like Cavan Town or Virginia. Bus Éireann operates services to and from Dublin and Cavan. From Cavan to Bailieborough, the bus journey takes approximately 41 minutes and costs between €5 and €9. Upon arrival at the Bailieborough bus stop, you can walk to Lake View Carpark or take a local taxi. Walking from the bus stop takes around 20 minutes.

The nearby Castle Lake Forest Demesne features a beautiful 6km walking trail, a memorial to those who died at Rebel Hill in 1798, and the graves of the Marist brothers.
