Car

If traveling by car from Stranorlar, take the N15 road northwest for approximately 15 km until the junction with R252. Turn left onto R252 and follow it for about 10 km, passing through Doochary. Continue for about 2 km, and look for a sign indicating the Picnic Area on the right. Coordinates are approximately 54.9589704 latitude and -8.1107922 longitude. Parking is free.

Public Transport

To reach the Picnic Area via public transport, take a Bus Éireann bus from Donegal Town to Glenties. Upon arriving in Glenties, take a local taxi to the Picnic Area, as public transport options are limited. Inform the taxi driver to go to the Picnic Area at Bingorms, Stranarva. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes and cost approximately €15-€20. Check the bus schedule in advance for return trips. Bus fares from Donegal Town to Glenties typically cost around €3-€6.
