From Donegal Town, head west on the N56 towards Killybegs for approximately 20km. Just outside Dunkineely, turn left onto the narrow road signposted for St John's Point. Follow this road to the beach. Be aware that the roads are narrow with limited passing places. Parking is available on the grass verge near the beach. Parking is free.
Walking
From the parking area at St John's Point Beach, a scenic 1.5km walk along the asphalt road leads to St John's Point Lighthouse. Alternatively, a walk through the farmer's fields offers beautiful views of the peninsula. Boots are recommended due to muddy conditions.
