Walking

Start your journey at the Salthill Promenade, which is an easily recognizable landmark. Walk west along the promenade until you reach the end, where you will see the junction with Grattan Road. Turn left onto Grattan Road and continue straight until you reach the junction with Taylor’s Hill. At Taylor's Hill, turn right and follow the road until you reach the end. You will come to a roundabout, where you should take the second exit onto Cappagh Road. Follow Cappagh Road for about 10-15 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Barna Woods on your right.
Public Transport

From Salthill, head to the nearest bus stop on the main road (Seapoint). Take Bus Route 404 or any bus heading towards Galway City. Get off at the stop near Cappagh Road. From there, it's a short walk: head down Cappagh Road for about 5-10 minutes, and you will find the entrance to Barna Woods on your left.
