Continue on the N6 for about 10 kilometers and take the exit for the R339 towards Turloughmore. Once on the R339, follow the signs for Turloughmore for approximately 5 kilometers. Take a right turn onto Derrymacloughna Road, and after about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Derrymacloughna Castle, located at coordinates 53.3860216, -8.8351004.
Public Transportation
To reach Derrymacloughna Castle via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Galway city to Turloughmore. Bus Eireann operates routes that connect Galway to Turloughmore. Check the schedule for the latest departures. Once you arrive at Turloughmore, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to the castle. Head southeast on the R339 and then turn right onto Derrymacloughna Road. Follow this road until you reach the castle. Note that bus fares may vary; expect to pay around €5-€10 for a one-way trip.
