Getting there

Bus

To reach Fanore Beach from Ennis, head to the Ennis Bus Station located on Station Road. Look for the bus service that goes towards Doolin or Lahinch. Buses typically run several times a day. Make sure to check the bus schedule for exact times. After getting on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Fanore stop. From the bus stop, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you see the beach entrance.

Bike

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike in Ennis. Start at the town center and head towards the R476 road. Follow this road, which will lead you directly to Fanore Beach after about 12 kilometers. The ride takes approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on your pace. As you approach Fanore, you will see signs guiding you to the beach. Make sure to bring water and a map or GPS for navigation.

Walking

While walking to Fanore Beach from Ennis is a long trek, it can be done if you're up for a hike. Start at the Ennis town center and make your way to the R476 road. Follow the road towards Corofin, then take the left onto the R477 towards Fanore. This is a scenic but strenuous walk of approximately 20 kilometers and will take around 4-5 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring sufficient water and snacks for the journey.
