Car
If driving from Galway city center, take the N59 road towards Clifden. After approximately 40 km, you will reach Leenane. Continue on the N59 for another 15 km until the turn-off for the R336 towards Connemara. Follow the R336 for about 10 km, then turn right onto a smaller road leading to Tarrea. Look for signs indicating Tarrea Pier. Parking is free near the pier.
Public Transport
To reach Tarrea Pier via public transport, take a bus from Galway city to Clifden. Bus Eireann operates services on this route. Upon arriving in Clifden, take a taxi to Tarrea Pier, as public transport does not directly reach the pier location. Taxi fare may range from €15-€25. Check bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
