Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, make your way to the N71 road heading towards Killarney. Once in Killarney, follow the signs for the Ring of Kerry (R562). Continue on this road until you reach the area near Lough Leane. Look for signs directing you to Brickeen Bridge, which is located near the western shore of Lough Leane. There may be limited parking available nearby, so ensure to park responsibly.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Use the Bus Éireann services to reach Killarney from various locations in County Kerry. Once in Killarney, you can take a local bus service that goes towards Lough Leane. Make sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Brickeen Bridge. From there, it is a short walk to the bridge where you can enjoy the scenery.

• Walking

  If you're already in the vicinity of Lough Leane, you can also walk to Brickeen Bridge. Look for pathways that lead toward the lake. The area has well-marked trails, and it usually takes about 20-30 minutes to walk from the nearest bus stop or parking area to the bridge. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can vary.

  For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Killarney. There are several rental shops in town that provide bikes. Once equipped, follow the scenic cycling routes toward Lough Leane. The ride is about 5-7 kilometers from Killarney and offers beautiful views along the way. Make sure to follow local cycling regulations and wear a helmet for safety.
