Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Dingle. Take the N86 road out of Dingle towards Tralee. After approximately 30 minutes, merge onto the N70 towards Killorglin. Continue on the N70 until you reach the town of Castlemaine. From Castlemaine, take the R561 towards Kilmurry. Follow the R561 until you see signs for Minard Castle. The castle is located along the coast, approximately 3 km from Kilmurry. There is free parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Minard Castle using public transportation, take a bus from Tralee to Dingle. There are several services throughout the day. Once in Dingle, you can catch the Bus Éireann route 275 towards Tralee and get off at Castlemaine. From Castlemaine, you will need to book a local taxi (which may cost around €15-€20) to take you to Minard Castle, as public transport does not service this specific area directly.
Walking
If you are in Kilmurry and prefer to walk, you can reach Minard Castle by following the R561 road. The walk is approximately 3 km and will take about 40-50 minutes. Follow the signs towards the coast, and keep an eye out for the castle ahead as you get closer. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as some parts of the path may be uneven.
