Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in County Kildare, take the M7 motorway towards Dublin. Follow the signs for the city center as you approach Dublin. Once you reach the city, follow the signs to 'City Centre' and take the exit for the M50 ring road. Merge onto the M50 and then take the exit for 'R138/Dublin City'. Continue on the R138, which will lead you into the city center. You can park at various car parks nearby, such as Q-Park on Drury Street or Park Rite on Fleet Street. Be aware that parking fees will apply, typically ranging from €2.90 to €4.40 per hour. From the parking facility, it's a short walk to City Hall located at Dame St, Dublin, D02 DF20.

• Public Transport - Train

  To reach City Hall using public transport, take a train from any station in County Kildare to Dublin Heuston Station. Train services are frequent and can take around 30-50 minutes depending on your departure station. Upon arriving at Heuston Station, exit and catch the Luas tram (red line) at the nearby Luas station. Take the tram towards 'The Point' and disembark at 'O'Connell/Abbey St.' From there, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to City Hall at Dame St. Make sure to purchase a Luas ticket before boarding; a single journey costs about €2.00.

• Public Transport - Bus

  You can also take a bus from various locations in County Kildare to Dublin. Look for Bus Éireann services or Dublin Bus routes that head towards the city center. For example, the 126 bus route from Naas will take you directly to Dublin city center. The fare typically ranges from €3.00 to €5.00. Once you arrive at the city center, ask for directions to Dame St if needed, as City Hall is a well-known landmark. It should be a short walk from your bus drop-off point.
