Car
If you are driving from Kilkenny City, head south on the N77 road. Continue on the N77 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Kells. As you approach Kells, look for signs directing you to Kells Priory. Turn left onto Priory Grove (R95 V184) and follow the road until you reach the entrance to Kells Priory. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Kells Priory via public transport, take a bus from Kilkenny City to Kells. Bus Éireann operates services on this route. Once you arrive in Kells, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Kells Priory. Head southwest on Castlecomer Road and follow signs for Kells Priory. The priory is located on Priory Grove (R95 V184). Be sure to check the bus timetable for return services.
Walking from Kells Town
If you are already in Kells Town, you can walk to Kells Priory. Start from the center of Kells and head southwest on Castlecomer Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Priory Grove (R95 V184). Continue straight until you reach the entrance to Kells Priory. This pleasant walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
