If you are driving from any location in County Kilkenny, head towards Kilkenny city center. Use the R695 road, which connects to the N76 road. Follow signs for Kilkenny and continue straight until you reach the city center. Once you get to the roundabout at the junction of the N10 and the R693, take the second exit onto the R693 towards The Parade. Kilkenny Castle is located at The Parade, Dukesmeadows, Kilkenny, R95 YRK1. There is parking available near the castle, but note that there may be a small fee for parking.

Continue walking until you reach The Parade; the castle will be visible on your right. The walk should take approximately 15 minutes.

If you are traveling by train, take the train to Kilkenny from Dublin or other major cities. The train station in Kilkenny is located about a 20-minute walk from Kilkenny Castle. Upon exiting the train station, head east on the Castlecomer Road (R693). Turn right onto the High Street and continue walking until you reach The Parade. Kilkenny Castle will be located on your right. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the train station, which will take about 5 minutes and cost approximately €10.
