If you are driving from Limerick City, start by getting onto the N18 road. Follow signs for Ennis and continue on the N18 for approximately 20 km. Take the exit for the R463 towards Ballysteen. Follow the R463 for about 8 km until you reach Ballysteen. Once in Ballysteen, follow the signs towards the Shannon Estuary. Ballysteen Pier will be located along the estuary. There is no parking fee at the pier.

From Limerick City, take a bus service such as the Bus Éireann route 343 towards Foynes. The bus will take you to Ballysteen, and the journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver you wish to get off at Ballysteen. Once you arrive, you can walk to the pier, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. There is usually a small fare for the bus, around €5-€7, depending on the service.
