If you're traveling by car within County Wicklow, head towards Wicklow town. From Dublin, take the M11 motorway southbound, and exit at Junction 8 for the R751. Follow the signs for Wicklow town. Once in Wicklow, look for Abbey Street. Turn onto Abbey Street, and you will find the Abbey Grounds parking area nearby. Parking is available and is usually free.
Public Transportation
To reach Wicklow Abbey via public transport, take a train from Dublin to Wicklow town. The train departs from Dublin's Pearse Station or Tara Street Station and arrives at Wicklow station. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Wicklow station, it's a 15-minute walk to Wicklow Abbey. Exit the station and walk along the Main Street towards Abbey Street. Turn right onto Abbey Street, and you will arrive at the Abbey Grounds, which is the location of Wicklow Abbey.
Walking
If you are already in Wicklow town, you can easily walk to Wicklow Abbey. Head to Abbey Street, which is centrally located. The Abbey Grounds are at the end of Abbey Street. The walk is approximately 10 minutes from the town center, making it a pleasant stroll to the historical site.
