Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head southwest on the R335 from the village of Westport. Continue on the R335 until you reach the junction with the N59. Turn left onto the N59 and follow the signs for Murrisk. After approximately 10 minutes, you will arrive at the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point @Croagh Patrick View located at Murrisk Demesne, Co. Mayo. There are parking facilities available near the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point via public transport, take a bus from Westport to Murrisk. Bus services such as the Bus Éireann route often travel to Murrisk. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest timings. Once you arrive in Murrisk, it is a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to the viewpoint. Follow the signs towards Croagh Patrick and you will find the Discovery Point on your left.

• Walking from Croagh Patrick

  If you are already at the base of Croagh Patrick, you can walk to the Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point. Start by heading southeast along the marked trails towards Murrisk. It is approximately a 30-minute walk (about 2.5 km). As you approach Murrisk, keep an eye out for signs indicating the Discovery Point, which is located near the coast and offers stunning views.
