Experience Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre

Getting There

  • Walking

    From Drogheda town center, head towards the main street, West Street. Walk in the direction of the Boyne River. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the Boyne Bridge. Cross the bridge to enter the Oldbridge area. Once across the bridge, continue straight on the Oldbridge Road for about 1 kilometer. The Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre will be on your left, marked by a large sign and the historic Oldbridge House.

  • Bus

    From Drogheda town center, walk to the nearest bus stop on the corner of West Street and Peter Street. Take Bus Route 164 towards Oldbridge. The journey will take around 15 minutes. Disembark at the Oldbridge stop, which is right outside the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. The centre is easily recognizable by its signage and historic building.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Drogheda. Start from the town center and cycle towards the Boyne Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Oldbridge Road. The total distance is about 2 kilometers, which should take around 10-15 minutes. The Visitor Centre will be on your left.
