Bus
From Drogheda, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on West Street. Board the Bus Éireann route 100 heading towards Dublin. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at Busaras (Dublin's central bus station), exit the bus and walk towards the Luas (tram) stop nearby.
Luas Tram
At Busaras, board the Luas Red Line tram towards the Point Village. Get off at the Abbey Street stop (about 5 stops). From Abbey Street, walk towards O'Connell Bridge and cross the river. Continue straight on to Dame Street; Dublin Castle will be on your left.
Walking
Alternatively, if you prefer walking, from Drogheda, head to the train station and take a train to Dublin. Once you arrive at Dublin Heuston Station, exit and take a bus or walk to the city center. Walking from Heuston Station to Dublin Castle will take around 30-40 minutes. Simply follow the signs towards the city center, and once you reach Dame Street, you will find Dublin Castle on your left.
Train
Take a train from Drogheda train station towards Dublin Connolly Station. This journey typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Connolly Station, exit the station and either take a bus or walk to Dublin Castle. Walking will take approximately 25-30 minutes; head southwest towards O'Connell Street, cross the river, and walk down Dame Street.
