Getting There

Walking
Start from Drogheda town center, at the junction of West Street and Shop Street. Head south on West Street towards the Boyne River. Continue straight until you reach the bridge over the river. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the R132. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the train station. From the station, take a train to Dublin, which takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Dublin Pearse Station, exit the station and head southeast on Pearse Street. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, passing through the intersection with Merrion Square South. You'll find Merrion Square Park on your left, where the Bernardo O'Higgins sculpture is located.

Bus
From Drogheda, head to the bus station located on the corner of Fair Street and the Dublin Road (just off the town center). Look for a bus service heading to Dublin, such as the Dublin Coach or Bus Éireann. The trip takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Dublin Busaras (bus station), exit and walk towards Busaras to find the Luas tram stop. Take the Luas Green Line towards Brides Glen. Get off at St. Stephen's Green. From there, exit the tram stop and walk north on St. Stephen's Green towards Merrion Square. The Bernardo O'Higgins sculpture will be in Merrion Square Park.

Make your way to Drogheda train station, which is located just a short walk from the town center. Take a train heading to Dublin Connolly Station, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Connolly Station, exit and head southwest towards the Luas tram stop. Take the Luas Red Line towards Tallaght and get off at O'Connell/Abbey Street. From there, transfer to the Luas Green Line at the O'Connell/Abbey Street stop, heading towards Sandyford. Get off at St. Stephen's Green. Walk north along St. Stephen's Green and take a left onto Merrion Square South. The Bernardo O'Higgins sculpture is located within Merrion Square Park.
