Walking
If you are starting from O'Connell Street, head south towards the River Liffey. Cross the river via O'Connell Bridge and continue straight onto D'Olier Street. Follow D'Olier Street until you reach the junction with Westmoreland Street. Turn left onto Westmoreland Street and continue on this road until you reach College Green. From College Green, head towards Trinity College Dublin and continue straight until you reach Foster Place. At the end of Foster Place, you will see the entrance to the beautiful Dublin Castle on your right. Continue past Dublin Castle and take a left onto Ship Street. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Lord Edward Street. Turn right onto Lord Edward Street and continue until you reach Dame Street. Cross Dame Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Christchurch Place. Here, you will see the famous Christchurch Cathedral. Continue past the cathedral and head towards the river. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and walk along the Quays. The Irish Seaman's National Memorial is located along the river near the Custom House Quay, approximately a 15-minute walk from the cathedral.
