Artistry in the Heart of Dublin: Merrion Square Park Sculpture

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Trinity College Dublin, exit the campus through the main gate onto College Green. Turn right onto Nassau Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Kildare Street. Turn left onto Kildare Street and walk straight until you reach Merrion Square. The Merrion Square Park Sculpture is located inside Merrion Square Park, which is to your right as you enter the park.

• Walking

  If you are near Dublin Castle, start by walking northeast on Castle Street towards Lord Edward Street. Continue straight onto Bridge Street, then turn left onto Christchurch Place. Follow the road as it curves left and becomes High Street. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Dame Street. Turn right onto Dame Street and then take a left onto George's Street. Continue straight until you reach Merrion Square. The sculpture will be within Merrion Square Park, which is on your left.

• Public Transport (Luas)

  If you are near the Luas tram line, take the Green Line tram towards Brides Glen. Get off at the 'Stephen's Green' stop. From there, exit and walk south on St. Stephen's Green. Continue walking until you reach Merrion Square Park, which is directly south of St. Stephen's Green. The sculpture is located inside the park.

• Walking

  If you are starting from O'Connell Street, walk south across the River Liffey over the O'Connell Bridge. Once you reach the south side, continue straight onto D'Olier Street, which will lead you to Westmoreland Street. Turn left onto Fleet Street and continue until you reach the traffic lights. Cross over onto Dame Street and continue straight until you reach George's Street. Turn left and proceed straight to Merrion Square. The sculpture is located within the park upon entering.
