Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ennis, head south on O'Connell Street towards the River Fergus. Cross the bridge at the end of the street to reach the other side of the river. Continue straight onto the R458 road, following signs for Newquay. After about 3 kilometers, you will pass through the village of Newquay. From there, continue along the road for another 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Flaggy Shore. You will see signs indicating the beach area.

From Ennis town center, walk to the bus station located on Station Road. Take the Bus Eireann route number 343 towards Kilkee. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Newquay' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the coast for about 15 minutes until you reach Flaggy Shore. You will pass through the village of Newquay and follow the coastal path leading to the beach.
