Walking
From the center of Ennis, start at O'Connell Square. Head south on O'Connell Street towards the roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout onto the R458 road (Station Road). Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the N85. Turn left onto the N85 and walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Ennis Train Station. At the train station, you can take a train to Limerick City, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Limerick Station, exit and walk towards the River Shannon on your right. Cross the bridge and follow the road straight until you reach Nicholas Street, where King John's Castle is located.

Bus
From Ennis, head to the main bus station located on the outskirts of the town center. Look for a bus that goes to Limerick; the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Limerick bus station, exit the bus and walk towards the River Shannon. Turn right and follow the riverbank until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach Nicholas Street. King John's Castle will be on your right.
