Start at the Ennis Town Centre (Market Square). Head southwest on O'Connell Street towards the junction with Abbey Street. Continue straight onto the Main Street, which becomes Francis Street. After about 400 meters, keep an eye for the junction with Clonroad. Turn left onto Clonroad and walk for approximately 600 meters. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Wood Quay. The River Fergus Sitting Area will be on your right after about 200 meters.

From the Ennis Bus Station (located on Station Road), take the Bus Éireann route to Clonroad. Ensure you get off at the stop near Wood Quay. The journey is typically around 10 minutes. Once you disembark, walk back towards Wood Quay and head towards the River Fergus Sitting Area, which is just 100 meters away.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Ennis. Start from the Ennis Town Centre and head towards the River Fergus. Cycle down Main Street and take a left onto Clonroad, continuing straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Wood Quay. The River Fergus Sitting Area is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the town center and should take roughly 10 minutes by bike.
