Start from the center of Westport at the Octagon. Head west on Bridge Street, continuing straight until you reach the junction with the N59. Turn left onto the N59 heading towards Leenane. Follow the N59 for about 8.5 kilometers. After passing through the village of Maam, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Clonbur. Once you reach Clonbur, follow the directional signs to Clonbur Wood. The entrance to the wood is just off the main road.

From the Octagon in Westport, walk to the nearest bus stop located on James Street. Take the Bus Éireann route towards Galway. Inform the driver that you are going to Clonbur. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Clonbur, you can either walk to Clonbur Wood, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, or ask the driver if you can be dropped off closer to the wood.
