Bus
From Galway city center, head to the Bus Éireann station located on 4-5 Eyre Square. Purchase a ticket to Doolin, which is the nearest town to Fanore Beach. Buses to Doolin run multiple times a day. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes on the bus, you will arrive in Doolin. Once you arrive at Doolin, you can take a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you the remaining 10 kilometers directly to Fanore Beach.
Walking & Bus
Start at the Galway Cathedral, located on St. Nicholas' Church, University Road. Walk towards the Quay Street and head to the bus station at Eyre Square. Follow the signs to the Bus Éireann station. Take a bus to Doolin, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Doolin, you can either walk along the scenic coastal path for about 2.5 hours to reach Fanore Beach, or take a local taxi for a quicker journey.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can book a taxi from Galway city center directly to Fanore Beach. Taxis can be hailed or booked in advance through local taxi services. The journey will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic, and you will travel approximately 46 kilometers.
