From Eyre Square in Galway, head to the bus stop located on the northern side of the square. Look for Bus Éireann Route 423 heading to Headford. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the Moyne Bridge stop. From there, walk approximately 1 kilometer to the northwest along the road, and you will reach Ross Errilly Friary.
Walking
If you are up for a scenic walk, start at the Spanish Arch in Galway. Head northwest along the River Corrib, following the riverside path until you reach the bridge at the end of the park. Cross the bridge and continue along the path until you reach the road. Follow the road signs towards Moyne Bridge, which will take you through charming countryside. The total walking distance is about 8 kilometers, and it will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Bicycle Rental
There are several bicycle rental shops in Galway, such as 'Galway Bike Hire' near Quay Street. Rent a bicycle and head out towards the west on the N59 road. Follow the signs for Moyne Bridge. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. After reaching Moyne Bridge, follow the road for a short distance to find Ross Errilly Friary.
